What We Do

Facilities Services is responsible for providing basic services that are needed to operate and maintain the University’s physical assets. We also perform a limited amount of chargeback work for the campus community.

The Administration team is responsible for all budget, finance and human resource functions within the department.

Building Maintenance

The building maintenance teams are responsible for providing baseline services to state buildings with a focus on ensuring safety and functionality in accordance with Executive Order 847 and best practices. Maintenance teams include the following:

Central Plants

The Central Plants are responsible for providing the safe and reliable distribution of utilities including power, chilled water, steam, and heating hot water.  Central Plants include the following shops: Chill Plant, Cogeneration Plant, Steam Plant.
Custodial services is responsible for providing a clean, safe and healthy environment for campus.
Campanile Mall
Facilities services provides event support including restroom service, building access, trash and recycle clean up, event set up and break down.
Sign & Graphics
Facilities Graphics provides a wide range of operational oversight related to the management, design, and production of campus signage and experiential graphic design. Facilities Graphics also manages and maintains the digital Interactive Map. Use the Facilities Services Customer Request Portal to submit a sign or graphics request.

Landscape Services

The Landscape Services teams are responsible for all horticulture maintenance, irrigation and athletics fields maintenance across campus. Landscape Services teams include Landscape and Irrigation.
Calpulli Remodel
The projects team is responsible for the planning, estimating, execution, and oversight of renovations and multi trade projects, as well as contracted work.

The Work Control Center is your single point of contact for all Facilities Services related issues including maintenance requests, chargeback service requests, and billing. To request services, please visit the Customer Request Portal.
